Hello, I have been viewing the site for a week or so now and learning more than I ever imagined. I am not a pro, but I am considering washing a few decks and docks on the lake, and starting a small business. I currently have a 2400 psi, 2.4 gpm. I have thought about using a skid mount washer in the future, perhaps mounted on a pontoon boat as it could be very difficult to get a trailer unit close enough to the dock to be useful. Has anyone done this?

With a skid mount washer, what kind of pump would be recommended in order to use a H2o tank? I have read to use at least 1+your current washers GPM. Is this accurate?

Mike,

Welcome to The PWN! :)

I would suggest a belt drive pressure washer to draw water from a water tank.

If properly configured you should not need a pump from the tank to the p/w, as a belt
drive p/w pump will draw water from the tank.

We can set up a skid w/ tank for you ready to go to work..
