foam lance question

Hello,

i just got a foam lance attachment and works fine thing is i need to be constantly refilling the bottle, so i was thinking what if put some extra feet of hose and hook it up to an external tank instead of the bottle since its it would create a suction the same way as in the bottle, think this would work? had anyone tried this ?
