Credit Cards

Wondering if any of you Residential/Commercial contractors take credit cards and if so how do you process them. I just signed up with Pay Pal last week and also heard that Quick Books has a program for accepting them. Wondering what else is out there?

Pay Pal is what I use...don't know if they have a mobile app. I am sure you could go online via your mobile...get on the PayPal site and run the card!!!

PayPal is what we use, only for several of our commercial accounts that pay via credit card. By far the least expensive and no monthly fees.

Intuit was great during the free trial, can't justify the costs, as we rarely process credit card transactions.

I just downloaded the "Credit Card Terminal" application to myiPhone
inserted my authorize.net data and charged $500 to my Amex card all
in less than 10 minutes. Pretty impressive.

I did not buy the card swiper, I just key in the data..pretty simple.

Naturally I voided the transaction, this will come in handy next 2 weeks
as we will be busy at shows.

Doug,

I am told that the iPhone version is included with our merchant account, and no
extra cost for using this method as opposed to the terminal in our office.

Bottomline depending on the type of card Amex, Visa, Discover, rewards cards etc...

it varies between 1.5 and 3.5%...........

It will be a plus to accept payment on the spot when we are at trade shows.:)

Verizon iPhone vs. AT&T iPhone and how you can switch for free

Verizon has spent over 30 million, just in the Phoenix market alone since June, 2010, upgrading towers and the network to handle the influx of new IPhone users and the expected 50% or better default rate expected from dissatisfied AT&T customers bailing on AT&T.

Verizon owns nearly 70% market share currently. Verizon outspends AT&T and Sprint 8 to 1 on technology upgrades and development and research. All indications are Verizon will be the doom of AT&T.

Just recently dumped my Verizon wireless Internet card, and now use my Droids 3G hotspot. Amazing !!! Extremely fast, and can supposedly run up to 5 computers at once (haven't tried that part yet, probably never will, as we have high speed Cox wireless network throughout the house and my office).
