Hall of Shame

Thought I'd start a thread so we can all share pictures of the despicable damage we all encounter on properties done by unprofessional personnel. This irreversible damage is criminal, in my humble opinion.

I educate our property management contacts and property owners of the risks involved with allowing untrained personnel access to their properties. These pictures tell the rest of the story:
Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

Feel free to share these pictures with your potential customers. And I look forward to seeing other contractors collection of damage photographs.

Don't have any, but see it all the time. I will go back to places I have seen in the next couple days and post some. How about also some of just shoddy work but no damage? I see that a lot. Or should we start a separate thread for that.

That resturant owner got screwed twice. Once by the hood cleaner and again by hte suppression ssytem company. Or he just hired the cheapest he could find.

I've found it's not only good practice but also might cover you a*# if/when the blame game begins once you restore the concrete.

When I do a site survey I always take current condition pictures, especially the obvious previous damage done by pressure washing "hacks".

Then we provide each and every customer with during (when possible) and after pictures and videos of their restored property. Have received much praise and appreciation for providing this extra service, as apparently no one else in my area(s) don not provide the extra level of customer service.

I've also documented several corporate locations, let's use Walgreen's as one example. The current "contractor" doing Walgreen's is consistent at submitting invoices ($165 per store, per "alleged" cleaning service) for "services" done every 2 weeks, but our pictures (taken at the same locations in the exact same positions every 2 week), along with the store managers testimony, tell the truth that this "contractor" might show-up once every 6 weeks on average, and when his crew does show up, does sub standard work. Several store managers informed me they usually need to call and complain, then the "contractor" will send his "A" team out the following night and do a quality cleaning. Still, no evidence they ever use a surface cleaner, just spot treating the stains and gum, and very, very rarely the drive thru's.

Done the same thing at about a dozen other big box stores. Not only does this approach get you face time with the store manager, then eventually the regional manager, but the constant follow-up's are appreciated by the management, and our free demonstrations usually close the deal.

Some of the pictures included in these photo's I have shared were taken at several Walgreen's locations.

These Type of contractors gives all of us a bad name.

In fact, another way of looking at this is that the contractor is " Stealing " money from his customer by Billing them for the work that they did not receive.

This is not honorable and shows no respect to the industry.
