green stain on deck

Have used Wolman's Deck Cleaner/Brightner but a light green stain remains that I can not remove on some boards. Could this be mill glaze or possibly algae under a clear coat sealant? Any ideas or solutions? Thanks.

may just be pressure treated wood that just has a green tint to it.

Like Craig said, it is most likely green fromt the pressure treating process. Some boards get it worse then others. If only certain boards are green, that is about the only thing it can be. Nothing at all that you can do about it. It probably has looked like that since the day it was built.

If you want to make sure its not algae just put a little bleach and water on it, the pressure treating wont be affected by the bleach.
