Steakhouse deck

I gave a price of 3500.00 for a large easy to do deck at a local steakhouse. It is 5046 sq ft without any railings and is ground level. It's a older deck that had been sealed years ago and probably doesnt really need more than a good cleaning, and resealing. The sealer is only in the corners near the building and would be the only spots that might need a little stripping, but are no big deal. I do mostly residential decks and docks that are way smaller than this, so I would like to know if this price is right for the sq. footage. Thanks Roy

Hi Roy As far as pricing goes up here in Mich this past year I did a 2000sq ft deck with no rails for about $2900.00 Hopes that helps. But prices may be different where you are from. Later Tim

Roy,

Your price sounds like it is in the ballpark. Just keep in mind that if the deck is older you may need to apply two coats of sealer...depending on how dry the wood is. I am also assuming the deck is not elevated.
