Windshield washer fluid vs Antifreeze???

Just curious if winter windshield washer fluid would do the trick for winterizing my PW. As opposed to using antifreeze. The windshield washer fluid is rated to -40 F. The cost is around .99 cents to 1.99 for a gallon. I would rather have to handle that than Antifreeze. As well it wouldn't damage anything if there was some left in the line.
Any Thoughts????

Thanks Blake

I found that the antifreeze worked better for me.
The washer fluid I tried would not get it down low enough. I spent the big bucks but I can reuse it besides look at what it will cost if it freezes up .
Just my 2 cents worth. Tim

I found that both work just fine. Our units, when in Chicago were in a un-heated garage. You can go 50/50 with the anti freeze.

The price is not an issue if you reuse the stuff over and over. Cost is about 5 to 10 bucks. Don't forget to walk out the hoses.

You could save alot of money buying an electric blanket a tarp and an extensioncord. Just keep it warm like it is your baby. Or use the air compressor and blow out the lines.
