Hose Reel connection

I have a leak at the hose reel connection for my supply hose. Small leak at this point in time. The attachment from the hose reel to the high pressure hose can move back and forth, if I work it a certain way the leak gets minimized and when the hose reel is being unwound the leak increases. Took off connection and found an O-ring. Not sure where it goes. I am afraid that the connection will go during a job. Can I fix or do I need a new hose reel? Any help would be appreciated.
