I think Moderators should have their E-mail Address availiable. This Should be a requirement.

Why is that? If you need to talk with them post a topic. The moderators donate there time. This is a benefit to the board. If they don't want to be bothered through there private e-mail. I think that is there choice.

There are a lot of shady businesses online that like to take advantage of this board and the freedom we offer regarding e-mail addresses. I can name one for sure. Lightening Clean products. This guy has been a pain in everyone's a** since he came around and has has been booted from everywhere. He also has had several complaints regarding his Internet business.

He also thinks we do not realize that he steals people e-mail addresses from this site and sends unwanted e-mail to members with out there permission regarding his junky products. This is called spam and members have reported this to us. The only way to avoid this is to eliminate access to registered members only. This could help a great deal.

I would hate to eliminate the viewing of addresses all together. That takes away from the good people on this board.

I agree with Dan,if you need a members e-mail you can also post and ask for it.You have alot of nuts running the net that will send Big Big matches that some pills can't cure.If anyones going to chew on me,do it on the board so I don't haveta go to the trouble to dete.To many bugs crawing around to open alot of e-mails from ????There is enuff e-mailing going back and forth running down some members and I for one haven't time to listen to something like that.I get enuff chewing on and made fun of as it is but I'm lucky cuz me got open hole from one ear to the other.I'm just glad they done it though a post instead of email, if you don't think it helped to see it in a post I'll go back to more of them there and that there stuff, hehe.I didn't realize I used those words as much as I did and still would be doing it if not made fun of in those post. I see your point; I though have not run into the misfortune of getting a lot of unwanted mail. I still believe if you want to be a moderator you should post your e-mail addresses. It’s your board Dan and I just thought you might like to hear why. I see your side of the coin. I would just believe that if you want to belong to something and donate your time you would not mind the junk that might come along with the job.

I just believe if everyone filled out the information when registering we would have more legitimacy on the board. There are a lot of guys that visit the board and don’t fill out where they’re from or post e-mail address. I know some have different reasons but some just plain don’t want any one to know where they are really from. That in its self makes the board look less legitimate. When someone completes and application and does not fill out the whole application to me its looks like they are hiding something or are afraid to tell the truth. I admit that I use AKA. Every one almost who uses the web has a handle. This is and acceptable thing to do. I like the idea that many do participate in giving their e-mail addresses to the board for information to be received by members only. Perhaps the addresses should only be available to members. I don’t know if there’s a way to do that. I guess I just feel if I’m going to give it my all to help others it seems that in sincerity I would be willing to post my –mail address in its name. I mean come on I don’t use my important e-mail to members of this board. Everyone has one or at least two addresses. Delete those pieces of mail you don’t recognize just like I do, and probably like you do your self-Dan.

In closing I just would require members to post their addresses because I wouldn’t want any one visiting to see this forum as some where they can come in and take a cheap shot at someone and then run. You will find that with the exception of myself everyone that does not post his or her addresses will have a higher chance at being a problem member. I believe I bring a positive negativism that every board needs. Not a loud obnoxious attitude but a professional differences and strong personality that will benefit everyone. I can walk the wire but never cross it. I think we know the majority feels we should post the addresses because they have done so. I believe others would agree with you because they would not want to cross the line either.

Bigboy ,

None of this post had to do with you, although as a moderator I did want to send you some personal message once or twice. It would be nice to have your address, if you can send it thank you, if you cannot I respect your privacy. My comments where not directed towards you at all, simply just in the generalizations that I believe you typically do not profile the persons I have described in the message to Dan and the board.

Al though you do post some crazy antidotes. You also add something very different to the board. Let me give you a compliment. In a very sarcastic but simplistic form you talk funny. We all know you are a bit of a showman, this in its self adds to the enjoyment of reading your post. When you choose to be serious you can. The shear entertainment of your persona reflects your personality. No one can dispute your not original and unique.
You add to the quality of this board. Keep it up you’re a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would just like to say I appreciate the time moderator’s take to share their ideas with others. I realize people take time away from other things in order to post and answer questions. Some of us have more time than others; others have more time than work. Sometimes I cannot answer all post that I would like too. Therefore I answer the ones important to me.

Thanks to moderators for keeping this board clean fare and interesting. Everyone adds some thing different to the board.

Happy holidays,

these guys may not want you to know this but,, All the moderators have their Email addresses posted!

Keep in mind here man they are NOT here to answer your questions. They are here to moderate, ie to maintain the forums, to keep post in=line & other maintnance duties. The folks doing this usually do like to help others but they are not a resource that should be abused. The Sole of forums like these comes from the regulars that post in them!

That's my 2cents worth

Ron,

I don't use AKA, my real name, phone numbers and address are shown, also my business E-mail but can understand you reasons for doing so.

I understand you since we have spoken a few times, I am one who does not pass out others information unless they say is is ok.

I also understand your feelings on moderators yet as Dan F. says, they donate their time and if you wish to contact them ask in post for them to Email you their address, most will do it, in fact I cannot think of one who would not do so.

Bigboy, you mean you DEAF too???? hole wide open between ears! glad I am not alone here no more.

Dan S. Ron smart, he shop while away from computer, or he shops online if fingers glued to keyboard, not sure which it is.

Cody, you just finding out Ron is writing a book! and to think you post all over the place too, yes I see your post elsewhere.

Now to all, the one thing that gets me is something Ron touched on, many come log in as members but do we really know if they are telling the truth as to where they live, name etc.? I think several lie since they don't want us to know how close they are to us. I can say that there are a few who log on under other names, I can tell when one post most times since I know how he writes.
Two names all know, Lance Winslow and Rob from Lightening Clean products. To be honest I thought he went under.

All of you have a great New Years and may business be better for us all

Heya's

While I understand the desire for legitimacy in posting boards I'm at a loss when trying to link that with the posting of an E-mail address. Let's face it, it would take me longer to order a pizza than it takes to create a new E-mail address.

'Round here, the back woods of central Pa., yeah, like there's anything BUT back woods within 60 miles of my front yard, we qualify people by the way they act, the way they express themselves and even more so by their track record. It might take you a while to gain legitimacy, same as it will take a bit for you to develop the reputation for being a fool, but once your reputation is built expect to be accepted or discounted on your own merit. Same can be said in any posting forum.

I dunno, I suppose if I wanted to say something to one of the Moderators and I couldn't find their E-mail address, I'd open a new thread and call it, only as an example, "HEY DAN LOOK AT THIS!!!!". Then I'd tell Dan to drop me an E-mail and the correspondence could begin.

These posting boards are a cross-section of the population. Walk into any bar and you're gonna find a variety of personalities. Deal with the folks you can and ignore the ones who're destined to be shut off before the next song starts on the juke-box.

By the way, thanks for accepting me into your community. I've learned a few things already and feel validated in that some of the ideas I've been using are already posted in the threads. Okay, where do you want the soapbox stashed?
