what are YOU doing?!!!!!

Hey y'all. Well, I met Cody and Dave Olsen. Two outstanding points. BUT!!!&lt; I drank prune juice and ate tofu for the whole trip.

The PWNA show was pretty good, aside from the layout for the exhibitions. The vendors were split up into three rooms and the hallway . MSI had a great booth with a trailer package that will be GIVEN AWAY at the end of the year!!! It's a full open trailer, machine, tank, toolbox and all. ********** had the biggest display, but were not selling anything off of the shelves...bummer. EDI, as always, had those odds and ends that you need. And, of course, Wolman, Doug Lattimer, Hydrotech, and some other new guys were there.

The seminars were under a little scrutiny from some of the members. Those felt that it was unorganized and unprofessional. Little do those ones know that only 2 speakers were paid for speaking, all of the others were volunteer. Majority of those attending had very good comments.

It will be in Pittsburgh in the fall. Why don't all of you make plans to come to my hometown if possible. I was asked to be on the planning committee. Don't know about that...cocktails on the hour may piss off the board of directors.

Well, from the pen of PUREPOWER...that is your PWNA show update. No portions of the broadcast may be reproduced without written consent of PUREPOWER.

Thank You and Good Day.

<FONT COLOR="e87400">LOL Mike,, it was more like a Living room a hallway and a Closet,, it was a little cheesy man,,

The main showroom was only like 30x50 then it went over to the hallway and then it also had a little 12x12 room with a couple of poor schmuks tossed in it. It was really kinda of pathetic. I had expected alot more the last one in Orlando filled a 100x100 room and was set up right with plenty of display products. At this one the only ppl with real displays were MSI and Invirospeck. The rest were just little 3x6 tables with pamphlets. It was an embarrasment to the Industry I'll tell ya, looked like chumpville!

Open message to all, how about more of you guy and gals out West writing to PWNA and asking them to have more conventions out this way.

I went to the one in Las Vegas last year and it was great, but they seem to always have them way back THERE, wonder why that is?

Can't take the heat of Western USA?

Perhaps the cost for most members and sponsors to come this far out, but then it works the same for us to go there.

Now Cody, are you saying the hotel did not have a large enough room for all vendors to pack it in?

About paid speakers, yes they had that in Las Vegas too but as you said most offered their time and knowledge for free because they want others to learn and do things the right way.

Called friends helping friends.

Did no vendors pass out FREE SAMPLES?

I have been complaining about that for 5 years now. They have only had 2 shows out hee in the West over the last 5 years. Las Vegas, and AZ. Doesn't seem to do any good though. Most of the membership is centered on the east coast, so they always stay there. I would be happy to write to my heart's content if I thought any one would listedn, Jon.

So, by the way did anyone attend any of the seminars, and what did you think? Just curious, since I didn't get to go either.

Sounds like someone should propose a western branch, maybe they could build up their membership so they would have reason too come out west more. I’m not affiliated and looks like I probably won’t ever.

I respectfully decline your nomination. Not interested in heading up but it sounds like the folks complaining should take some initiative.

You should care about your org. or you should quit.

I don’t know the demographics of the west coast, I can imagine there might be even more pressure washing companies out west. It seems strange to me that you guys think the membership out west is not there. I could see why. If the org. does not promote why would there be any reason to have a charter.

I think the pwna is missing the picture; I believe that the west coast is a goldmine. We always have fair weather. The workloads in many fields are in abundance. I would like to see the some type of org. do some good for the industry.

I don’t think I’m ready to head one. I do think the folks in the pwna should promote new members on the west coast. It could just be they are looking for your help. It seems really strange that and org. would not have a board that represented the entire country. Next I will hear there is no one on the board from the west coast. Bingo,,,, there’s the problem…. Get someone from the west coast on the board maybe two people. start their and try and change things slowly.

Sorry, Mike and Cody for coming down on you so hard, I just think if you belong to and org, you should care about what happens no matter where its at. You get benefits from the org. right!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well if I got on the board soon we would not be doing anything on the east coast and then you would be crying about them not doing anything on the east coast, you should care about things you believe in. you might rethink that board member position mike. Board members don’t answer questions that way. I not offended by your answer and I’m not badgering you or Cody (well maybe Cody) I just think that response might be the main reason you don’t have a great organization. No one really cares.

Mike,....it did not get bigger than expected, I think no one checked the room size and layout for exhibitors...PWNA tried to get the lowest room rate in FL for the show.

Jon,....not many free samples.

Cody,.....(burp) it waz nooot phermantid it waz rilllly guud

Ron,....I read the post about membership benefits too...lost that wood pretty quick did ya?

As for the PWNA coming to the west, I'll plead the 5th here. I have only participated in Cleveland and Orlando so far. But I believe you guys and gals are right for a spread out show base. The biggest advantage of these shows to me is talking to other contractors. This is the best learning experience that there is. All of the veterans have taken the bumps and bruises for me.(a big THANKS to them)And if the contractors from the east don't want to fly out west....boohooohooo.... and if the contractors out west don't want to fly out east.... boohooohooo.... But on the same token with the shows, you aint gonna change anything by typin' on a BB!!! call PWNA or visit the site at PWNA.org..

I use my membership to my advantage, that is to learn and help others learn if I can; that's not being selfish I hope. I do hope, and I will speak my piece to PWNA, that the western states do start to become more involved in the agenda for the organization. The more members we have, the better some things could be. Bigger organizations have far more power than smaller ones. If everyone says that they are waiting for it to get bigger before they join, I hope you don't do that with your business or with your life in general. You will be waiting for the ship that won't sail in.

This is the only organization for a diverse base of pressure washers, not just kitchen exhaust cleaners.

Someone was a visionary.

Thanks...my 4cents(inflation)

Jordon,

There is a way that might make both the West and East Coast members happy, how about having it centrally located, middle of the USA, that way most have to travel about the same distance and the guys close by will also be happy.

Cody, if I understand you your saying that nothing really has changed in the years before and after you were a member, is that right?

Name for a new organization:

United Pressure Washers the World
National Orginization of Pressure Washers.

I am sure if it really came to someone starting a new org. that it will have a good name to it.
