Sounds like a virus. Get what you need backed up just in case. Go to a anti virus site and look for answers and fixes there.

You never know.

Sounds like yo matchine be freakin out man.

Try replacing the processor fan. When your cooling fan goes out and they all do it cause many different odd things to happen and always different. So before you go nuts triing this and that, replace that fan. There cheap and if it isn't it a new fan won't hurt anyway. If it still does it we'll go from there!

If you find it might be a virus go to McAfee.com they will scan your pc. online to see if you have a virus. They also have other trial programs that you can try.
Good Luck.

Sounds like you got a bug. I was told (by my computer guy) not to open up attachments from folks, a couple of years ago we got a bug and it really messed up our computers in our office, not funny.

Hey Bigboy,

Welcome to the real world of computers....

Ever since I upgraded mine a month or so ago it has been one thing or another.

Right now it is my zip drive, whenever I back up to it and close it, nothing else works, keep getting silly message saying it cannot find the E drive.

Like others say sounds like a bug, if you have Norton run it first then see if it finds anything.

I have heard that First Aid can mess up a computer also so who knows could be that program.

You have two other choices, one shot the darn thing and live without a computer or do what I might do if this silly electronic thing keeps messing up, buy a Mac!!

<FONT COLOR="E87400">Jon sounds like you just have a bad driver. Go to the Zips website and dl the new driver and install it per the directions. That'll probably fix it up!

could be a badly written line in your autoexec file causing your problem. i've had that before and was on the phone seemingly hours with tech support. i still don't know what a did to correct the problem!

i suggest calling your tech support! Even if your warranty has expired a good computer company will still help.

good luck,
roy

I knew I should have bought an I-Mac.

This thing is only 2 month old, oh well another buck earned and wasted on the PC.

It's running from work just like you. Get alot of work and it runs away. Might be doing repo work on-line when you not there who know's. Try hitting it with a frying pan like your wife does you, that might fix it.
