electrical outlets at restaurants

Hello from Portland, Oregon!

We are entering into hood/vent cleaning as a primary cleaning offering and have just purchased a hot water heater from ***** . The heater needs a power source though and will come with a 120v AC plug.

We are wondering if in theory, we would be able to plug
into a electrical outlet at the restaurant to run the burner. Would this work..?? We believe it would. ***** says we would need 30 amps to run the burner. Do restaurants have this capability in their kitchens..??

We are looking to possibly avoid having to purchase a expensive generator to power the burner and to keep our costs down.

Can anyone with experience possibly supply some advise to us on this idea..??

Thanks much!

We service only restaurants around 400 plus and we only use their power- we plug into the plug and the burner is up and hot. We use Landas and when the generator blows we go direct. This is the best way.

Hello! Thanks for the reply!!

Have you experienced any shorting out of fuses in the kitchens..?? We're worried we may run into a restaurant that doesn't have sufficient power to run our hot water heater, then we're out of luck with no way torun the burner. Has this happened..?? Anywhere specific in a standard restaurant kitchen that may have a stronger electrical socket we should plug into..??

We do not have the problem. All we have done is eliminate the generator-so that your burner will work off the 110 plug. We do this every single night.
