two-stepping question

I was talking to a pw saleman today about equipment. The short of the conversation was that he said you shouldn't wash the cab of an otr truck with two step cleaners because you might "etch" the glass.

Is there any truth to this? Or was this guy just trying to sell his regular cleaners?

He was telling the turth if he was talking bout HF acid being used on top above windsheild.If useing PH acid it will not harm windsheild.

Its better to go under instead if dragging it back around????never mind,just bored.
