Can't Siphon Soap

Can't Draw Chemicals

I have a hot water Alkota 5355 and it's not drawing any soap. I opened the valve all the way and nothing.

Any suggestions? I have a big job tomorrow and need a quick fix !

A couple of possibilities come to mind.

-1- The Alkota units have a screen in the float tank and behind that screen is a plastic restrictor, this creates enough vacuum to allow the soap to draw from the soap bucket, if the restrictor has come out it will not have the proper vacuum to draw soap.

-2-Possibly the inlet screen (chemical foot valve) on the inlet side of soap / chemical hose is clogged, to check this simply remove the filter check valve and see if it will draw soap with out it. Sometimes these valves get clogged with soap that has dried.
