Question:
Is there a good flow activated unloader that will handle 4000 PSI ?

Yes we have added a 4000 PSI flow sensitive unloader to our
product line this week!

It is a flow actuated unloader, rated from 2.6 GPM @ 440 PSI
to 5.5 GPM @ 4000 PSI, one unloader covers that whole range.

Fewer parts than the K series unloaders, 3/8"fpt inlet, bypass,
and outlet.

(Dan Flynn will be installing one on one of his rigs this week)

Hey Mark,

I was just going to call you about that. Here is a picture of my unloader. Look were the switch is connected. The green dot is connected to the red dot. That nut or what ever has a leak. That nut makes the screw part on the green dot larger to fit in the yellow dot.

If you can figure out the size of the red nut/fitting and the yellow elbow thing. I want to replace them along with the unloader. The pressure switch is fine.

Call me today at work, so we can talk about it. 832-754-5068

Thanks

Dan,

-1-install a 3/8" Sch 80 nipple between pump outlet
and unloader inlet.

-2-Install 3/8" Street Tee* at unloader outlet.
(*HP High Pressure fitting)

-3- Install pressure switch at top port of tee.
(using 1/4" x3/8' bushing* if needed)

-4- Run your 3/8" HP hose from unloader / tee outlet to coil inlet.

-5- Run bypass hose from bypass port (bottom of unloader)
to pump inlet.

You will need:
-1- Saturn unloader.
-1- 3/8" Schedule 80 nipples or HP hex nipples.
-1- 3/8" Street Tee (HP fitting only)
-1- Roll Teflon Tape
-1- Hour spare time
-1- 12 pack of Lone Star Beer.. (LOL)

P.S. I will talk with you tonight!

[drunk]

Maybe we better make that one 12 ounce can of Lone Star Beer.
( Isn't that what Texans drink?)

John,

The AL919 " SATURN " unloaders are made by Arrow Line
and distributed by AR North America. The unloaders we are selling
all have 3/8"FPT ports. Call me and I can give you more info

Here is a picture of the version sold in Europe with a 22MM outlet

I will call you tonight, I didn't get in last night until late. Then I had a baby class :)

We can talk about what I need and get the parts sent out ASAP.

Thanks.

Dan,
Once you have the unloader installed, put a new nozzle on
your wand, and then we will adjust the unloader.
You will need a pressure gauge for this.

-1- Start unit with gun open

-2- Turn unloader knob clockwise to increase pressure.

-3- Set the unloader at the desired maximum pressure
( in your case 3000 psi)
-4- Check to confirm that the spike pressure does not exceed 3300.
-5- Set locking ring.

Remember I am only a phone call away if you have a question!

Hello,
I installed the saturn regulator and cant get it to work properly.Apx 50% of the time it gets stuck in the high psi mode when in bypass and when I start the unit it sometimes goes to high psi from the start causing my burner psi switch to kick on creating a dangerous situation.I have no leaks in the system and have removed it and dissassembled it and found nothing out of the ordinary.Any suggestions thanks,Steve

Steve,

Sorry to hear you are having problems with the unloader you installed.
I did a search of our sales for the Saturn unloaders, and I do not find where
we sold you one? Not a problem, I would be happy to help you out.

I first would like to confirm that it is a "Saturn unloader" you are working with.
Please call my office Monday morning around 8:00 - 8:30 AM PDT, if you do
have a Saturn unloader we can do a conference call to AR North America support
and try to resolve your problem.

Bottomline I will try to help you out, regardless of what brand unloader you have
and who you got it from.

:)

We can post the results and our findings later.

We have found that the Saturn Valve is not able to support a suction feed system.

The system must be gravity fed, or force fed. This is due to the special design that
causes air pockets in the valve which does not allow the outlet shutter spring to retract
back to the proper position.

AR North America and Arrow Line of Italy,
are both working on a solution, so that these can be used on units with float tanks.

For the present time they will not work with float tanks unless there is a FLOODED
SUCTION.
