How do you accept credit cards for payment?

How do you go about accepting credit cards for payment?
I,m shure there is more than one way to do this.
I have heard of programs at Sams club where they accept them for you for a small fee. Anyone know of a better way to approach this? thank you. Mtngoat

There are several ways to do this. Do a search and you will find previous discussions.

You could:

-open a merchant account and buy equipment (ccard machine and printer

- same as above but portable (attached to cell phone)

- computer software that allows you to charge cards over the internet, using a merchant account but using your computer as the credit card equipment

- www.paypal.com You customer would also have to be a paypal member

- also Quickbooks Pro software allows you to charge credit cards, more info at www.quickbooks.com


There are monthly fees and percentages of your sales that you will be charged for all of the above.
