Steam for Cleaning

I was just wondering if anyone uses steam for the cleaning of hood and exhaust systems. If so, in what situations.

Chinese grease melts pretty good under steam. If our chemical cant eat it up enough we use the steam to eat the grease away.

I don't use steam, but I use soda, and it cleans a lot better than using a pressure washer. But I have started doing reasearch on steam, keep this post going on it.
