New business tips!!???

I am seriously considering starting up a pressure washing business in the Sacramento CA area. I have been reading alot of the post here and most are very informative.
With the wide variety of surfaces to be cleaned I am mostly concerned in doing damage to property due lack of knowledge in cleaning a specific surface! Can anyone suggest a good training course be it a mail order type or one that I could attend. Are there any advantages in travelling across country to attend a course?

HI Guys,

I'm also just starting up in this business, and had a question myself in the advertising department on how to get going in this? I did the flier thing with the mailboxes and had the postoffice call me about it. They said I can't put them on the boxes any more. So what do you do then start going door to door? Or making calls? Advertise in the paper?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
