    Cleaning those shiny silver trailers

I have to agree with Bigboy on this one. He hit it right on the money. We have washed alot of alum. trailers and the only way to get them clean is with acid. Unless you happen to like brushing! ------------------

    A Few Tips

Hi all! This may get lengthy but I will try to keep it as short as possible! On Feb. 24 we were gasing up one of our washers. We had surface prep on half of a brand new truck. Being in a hurry we didn't let the machine cool down so guess what happened! We ran over $2000 worth of gas through our...

How do you guys do it? Fleet washing that is.

We use a Model 420C gas cold water skid two step system built by MSI.It is 4.0@2000psi, 11hp honda, CAT pump. We also have the optional remote(well worth the extra expense). We use MSI chems because they were developed for use in the two step machine. Like I have said before, we have tried every...

    fleet wash pricing

We charge 20 for truck, 20 for trailer. We have found that trucking companies, for the most part, want someone who will do what they say they will do. If you tell them you will be there every Saturday, then be there every Saturday. We are not the cheapest around but our business has been built...

How do you guys do it? Fleet washing that is.

Better yet, 2-step, applying chems under pressure and you will rarely need a brush. Maybe on stacks every once in a while. We wash trucks every day and have tried every thing you can think of. 2-step is the only way to go (for us anyway). You will get a lot of feedback about running acid thru...

Presentation WAS everything! Missed you guys. CAN ANYONE FIX THIS?

Wow! So sorry for the two of you. I have been out of commission with a ruptured disc, now I don't feel so bad! Shirley, take it easy, seriously. I have not worked in 2 weeks. It has been really hard to just sit on the side lines, but you need to do it anyway! We hired a temporary employee to...

    Cold Weather???

Store chems in an enclosure and use a heat lamp. It has to stay pretty cold for an extended period for most chems to totally freeze(in concentrate form). The only chem we have had trouble with ruining after it froze is degreaser and that may have just been a bad batch to start with. We had not...

    2-step troubles

Hey Wiz! I am wondering if you know any thing about 2- step equip? I am getting a continuous flow of chems through both demas. Brand new parts, checked electrical on coils etc. When you first start running it works fine but the longer you run the worse it gets. Has me totally puzzled. I think it...

    HEAVY EQUIPMENT

I would figure 4 hours and lots of degreaser if it is in fair to semi-poor condition. More if it has years of build up on it. ------------------

    Anyone 2 stepping House Washs?

We use 2-step in our fleet wash. Don't do a lot of houses but when we do a house we 2-step it. Phosphoric acid first then truck wash then rinse. Works great! We used to use HF first but the phos. is safer on aluminum. Not just siding but window trim especially. ------------------
