Bob, I took my "5/5" to a welder friend and had him cut off everything possible except the "skid plate" underneath . . . drilled holes through plate and trailer bed, inserted bolt, nuts and welded the nuts (theft!). What'd I do different?? I really wished I had inserted heavy duty rubber...
