Hey folks, Got a chance at a flat work job if I can figure this one out. This costumer recently had their asphalt resurfaced with a blacktop coating. Some of the coating has been transfered ( by car tires ) to their concrete area. What could be used to remove the 'black top' from the concrete ?

Hey Barry, I would try a Sodium Hydroxide based degreaser and hot water. If you don't have hot water I wouldn't dilute it quite as much. Not sure what dilution you should start at. If you have a sodium hydroxide based deck stripper you might could use that.

I did this once for a residential customer. The guy that sealcoated the driveway, sealed right over the curb (duh). I cleaned it two days later with just hot water and it came up. Not sure how tough it would be if I had waited........ good luck, and let us know what worked for you.
