Enclosed Trailer or Side Rails Flatbed?

I'm new to the forum, and the industry. I have a Ford E150 6 cylinder carpet cleaning van, and will be pulling either a 5 x 8 or 6 x 10 trailer in Omaha. I will have either a 150 or 200 gallon tank with an 8 GPM setup, and GPM can be reduced if needed. My question is if I should run an enclosed trailer or not, and is heat an issue in them?
Thank you guys!

You must make sure an enclosed trailer is properly vented, and yes heat is an issue. I have enclosed trailer before but prefer open.

Be careful with payload on those trailer sizes which are most likely single axle. If you had an 8gpm hot water skid for example your looking about another 800lbs + 1700lbs with 200g water tank full and the wear and tear on your vans brakes since those trailers most likely don't have there own brakes.
And yes heat can be an issue running a Powerwasher in an enclosed trailer especially once again a trailer of those sizes that may not have a side door. You need to get air to circulate in there. Yrs ago we bent one of the engine valves in our enclosed trailer because of the heat build up in there.
Good luck.

I have both. I like the security of the enclosed trailer but the heat can be a problem on a hot day. I have the hot box ventilated through the roof but the engine exhaust is an issue. My open trailer is great other than the security and the weather over time rusting everything.
