Upon recommendation of Amteco we did some 40 year old rough sawn cedar siding on our house in TWP 201 Cedar. Though this is a Cedar shake product it was recommended because the old cedar was so rough. After cleaning, the boards were light colored and in pretty good shape.
The TWP turned the boards almost black. My wife freaked out and made me stop. And though a couple of weeks later they have lightened a little, they still look 100 years old. Amteco said it would take 4-6 weeks to finish settling in. It is hard to discribe what a bad color it is ...almost a greeny chocolate.
The TWP has set up like a glue in he wood fibers. Is there a solution or method for removing it? Or does anyone have any other advice?
Thanks
