I have customers that wash cars every day the method they use is; They use two cylinders of water sofener from Culligan it goes into a cold water washer, they spray the car down and another person goes behind him immediately with a shammy. the whole process takes less than 5 min per car. He charges 50cents per car. At 12 cars an hour that is $6.00 an hour for two people. He would be better off doing surface work for $50per hour

We do a Ford dealership and use the same method that hotwaterwisard is talking about.
1-just rinsing-no soap-they all have been detailed before putting on the lot.
2-another coming behind with a shammy.
If it is hot we will rinse off 6 or 8 cars, and both use a shammy. If it's cool and cloudy the first guy just sprays and the other shammys.
Average about 20per hour. $2.00 a car and pay the guy helping .50 a car

We wash Police cars that have not been detailed. We use DI water and hand wash them. With two guys we can wash 32 cars an hour on average. Our record is 38 cars per hour. We charge $3.20 a car.
