<FONT COLOR="e87400">Just posting a couple of little tricks that I use while surfing the net.

These may only work in MS IE (not sure though)
1.Hitting F11 will toggle you're browser windowlarger and then back again, hit it now to try it. Helps to see more of a page.

2.If you're searching through web pages looking for particular referances you can find them faster using the EDIT/FIND option. Just go the the top of your browser to click on edit, then on Find, now type in "I Love Cody" in the blank field. This will work with combinations of words or single words.

These 2 Work anywhere
3.If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel you can increase make web documents larger making the text easier to read by holding down the ctl key on your keyboard and then rolling the mouse wheel. Try it now.

4.Now if you're like me you can have a bunch of browsers and or apps open at one time. Gettin between them can get a little frustrating. An easy way to flip between them is to simply Hit & Hold the "alt" now hit tab, hit tab again to change to another app/window. Open some more stuff and try it.

That ends todays lesson.

Thanks for the tips Cody........now I just have to remember to actually use them.

I run two monitors at the same time, so I have double the screen space. My laptop sits on my desk and is hooked up to a port replicator.....i use my old desktop monitor which sits directly above the laptop. Sometimes I have so many windows running at once, I need a better way to manage them.

thanks again

<FONT COLOR="e87400">OK,, here's another one for ya,,

Ever want to print soemthing on a web page but you did'nt want to print the whole page so maybe you did a copy & past to a another app. Well do it no more.

Any text you want to print on a page simply highlite it with your mouse (just as you would to copy it)Then hit ctl+p, this will bring up your print dialog box. In the "print range" section simply click "<u>S</u>election, then hit enter or click ok!

(Note this will work anywhere I believe, You must access this through the Print Dialog box ctl+p is the shortcut to it or it can be accessed with the mouse by going through FILE/PRINT. If you just use the button on the bar of your browser of app the dialog box is bypassed and you go straight to print!)</FONT c>

Cody,

I'll have to admit you are onto something here.

Now I am a believer in you, but one thing here, when I went to Edit/find and typed in I love Remy ( sorry but just could not type in Cody) it replied <FONT size="4"><FONT COLOR="Red">So Do I.</FONT c></FONT s>.

Now I have for years been trying to figure out how to print just what I wanted and not all the post that are in a string, finally some guy out of East Coast come up with the answer.

Ever throught about writing a book about Windows Internet Explorer tricks?

Keep them coming Cody, here's to you

Jon,
Don't give Cody the bighead, my wife read about the printing tip on a newsletter sent out by About.com, although if he hadn't put it on this board or she hadn't told me...I still wouldn't know.
Thanks to Cody but remember, it's real hard to get in and out of the truck with a LARGE head.

Clent,

I felt I owed that to Cody, even if he read it someplace else.

Two reasons:

1: I don't always agree with Cody, that does not mean I don't like him, just as others don't always agree with me.

2: I would not have taken the time to learn about shortcuts such as those and since he had mentioned it
I have learned something new.

How about all of us putting down little tips/shortcuts etc. here for others to learn about?

Don't get in a fret Jon, I was just yankin yer chain.
I like everybody until given a reason not to, and so far I like everybody on this board.
I would like to thank the sponsors of this board because it helps me a lot and probably a lot more folks also.
Don't take anything I say too serious because I like to kid around some. It's hard to make that come through on the old keyboard though.
