Storm Drain Covers?

Just putting this out there. I have been researching the cost of storm drain covers, the 4x4 ones to be exact....prices start at around $400.00 bucks. Anyway, why would you buy a 3x3 cover for around 300 if you have the 4x4 already.

One size fits all?

Just curious

Makes sense Carlos. Seems pricey. I know I've seen them cheaper, but my mind is working on 7 hours sleep since Thursday (plus a 2 hour nap tonight) so I can't recall much more than my family members names right now. LOL !!! [tie]

Then again, we all know cheaper does not equal better. Longevity is worth spending the additional $$$.

I look forward to hearing from the contractors here about the best quality water dams, covers, etc.

Maybe an idea for a new thread or category. "Equipment and supply reviews" ????

Got it...

The storm drain covers...I have that covered. I was washing alongside some guys from FleetWash two weeks ago in Union City and they had a pretty clever set up regarding the storm drain covers. However I saw where I could improve what they had.

...this is the purpose of the thread. I see that pricing on a 4 x 4 is up there and I consider it to be somewhat pricey. I have an idea that over the winter months could very well solve this problem relating to the cost.

I will be testing this out over the next month or two and hopefully report back with a winner!!!!

This place has some of the best prices I could find for some other stuff I use on rooftops to for grease containment.. you have to call to get the prices, but I'm sure they will smoke just about anybody.

I got mine from Eldred. Eldred Environmental 800.613.3640

I priced CEP too, sa they are right here close to me and Eldred beat em pretty good, but that was last year sometime. Prices may have changed since then.

I have heard about inquires of fleet wash from the CCCSD. They got in trouble not to long ago. It is my understanding that they can't wash just anywhere and are limited on what they can wash. CCC has restricted to them as of the beginning of this year. Don't know if they cleared up the violations or not. Heard also EBMUB is looking into them as well.

Apparently they are on the radar from most agencies. I would not want to be them right now. They ran out of warnings.

I don't think you will find a less expensive
drain cover out there.

I was surprised when I saw what the price was
from Hydro Tek.:)

I have several in stock.

Picked mine up last week or so from Easy Clean...

Tough and durable material is a good thing.

Mark...if you have any bigger sizes...let me know. Appreciate it.
