    Gp Surface Cleaner

You could replace the gun, but I bet it would only be a matter of time before it failed too, unless it was a different kind. Make sure you get the right size nozzle tip, mine came with 1502's I think; left streaks everywhere till I put the right tips on. As long as you have a ball valve, the zip...

    Gp Surface Cleaner

If your talking about the general pump "hammerhead" surface cleaner it works great. I've had this surface cleaner for about a year now. The only problem I have with it is the trigger handel. With pressure on the lines the trigger will not put enough pressure on the piston to open it. I used...

    Help with red brick

Sure Klean 800 is a hydrofluoric acid, which I may be wrong, but I've never seen that been used for Eflo. I would suggest using a phosphoric or a hydrocloric acid. For starters, I would try the Calcite Presoak followed by NMD80 from EaCo chemicals.

    Help with red brick

What was the name of the acid cleaner for eflo that you used? What was the active ingredient? Micah Kommers We Wash Windows Greenville, SC Member AUWC

    Oxalic Acid

I need a good source of oxalic acid, and I have not been able to find one. My current source runs me 9 dollars a gallon and although it works great I can't cut it much. Is 9 dollars on par or is that high? Either way, I would like to purchase 5 gallon pails, or the powdered form; and how do you...

    Dark Stains on Concrete -HELP!

Much like Dave's situation, I cleaned one of my regular commercial flatwork with the burner off by mistake - all 3000 square feet. (at least I hadn't went back to remove the gum quite yet) I had applied the chemical as usual, the only difference was no heat. When I noticed I had left the burner...

    Dark Stains on Concrete -HELP!

Tim, I would suggest finding an industrial cleaning supply company that sells chemcials. They would be the best to advise you on what chemical will work best for each situation. Hot water may be the only way to lift the stain completely, but you should be able to get decent results with a...

    Existing walkway gum removal marks

Are you asking how to prevent making those marks, or how to "fix" the marks so they're not so obvious? The rings are caused by either pulling the trigger to the surface cleaner while the surface cleaner is in one spot, or just letting the surface cleaner sit in one spot for too long. When you...

    Getting discourage

Typical conversation stopper. There's several ways of getting around this; but you have to be talking to the decision maker. One trick (after you introduce yourself, but before they have a chance to comment) "You may already have a window cleaner, but I feel that my services would benefit you...

    Graffiti removal

Man, either Dave stays thirsty or he's got all the cool stuff. I'll piggy back Revives question and ask what that is and how it works. Looks a lot more professional then a garden sprayer. I want one. As to the graffiti question, maybe if you increased the dwell time? Sometimes when the paint...

    Getting discourage

Are you still doing those houses you did in the first year? If not, try to set them up on a yearly or every 6 month schedule. If your not getting the new business's, you may be either charging too much or charging too little. What kind of method do you use for cleaning windows? What kind of...

    Tough clean

You should probably use a professional grade chemical if you plan on doing hard water stain removal, which is considered glass restoration. You should also be aware of "Tin Etch Haze". Most glass has a thin layer of tin on one of the surfaces; if you apply an acid, it etches the tin, thus...

    Mold/Mildew/Algae

Personally if I were doing a house, I wouldn't even turn my burner on. I don't think the heat is really that big of a benefit on housework until you get to the sidewalks or driveways. The bleach should definatly cut the mold and algea with no problem. If it doesn't, increase the bleach in the...

    Mold/Mildew/Algae

Simple Green is probably not the best chemical for that paticular job. I would suggest using bleach, with a citrus cleaner. The bleach will kill the mold and algea, and the citrus cleaner will serve both as a degreaser for other stains and a surface agent to allow for a longer dwell time. The...

Concrete damage - How to prevent?

Were you drawing water from a tank or from a hose bib? If you were working from a hose bib, you may have had a drop in water pressure. This could be prevented using a tank, even if it's small (100gal) as a buffer.
