    black dots on siding?????????????????

Once they are there (for at least a month or so) they will ALWAYS be there. You can scrape them off with your fingernail, however they will usually still leave a slight stain. The only option is to paint over them. Good luck matching the paint! Best advice on this subject is PREVENTION...

    stripping paint

And when you test it with a "roto nozzle" (or turbo or tornado nozzle)...make sure you keep some distance between the nozzle and the concrete...like about 12+ inches...unless you want to do some engraving along with your paint stripping, of course.

    Shhh did you hear that?

30 houses a day AND "playing around with the website"?!?!?Are you sleepless in Germantown? If ever I'm in the Germantown area (I doubt it), I would DEFINITELY love to see how you clean the gutters on an "average" size house in 10-13 minutes. I suddenly feel like a snail!

    Time to winterize again

Yes, I have the digital H2O softener that is 95% plastic. Getting that thing out of the trailer (while full of salt) is going to be a PAIN! I guess I will deal with that, and blow out the water in the machine and hoses. I don't feel like using antifreeze with a 275 gal. water tank. I doubt...

    Time to winterize again

I was surprised nobody has recently started yet, another thread regarding winterizing as we enter the long, cold, dark season (at least here in MI). I have read all of the different suggestions and methods of winterizing, however none of them mentions anything about winterizing your system...

    rust stains

Speaking of stains...is it common for straight muratic acid to cause a yellow stain on cement? Had a customer call to see if this yellow stain can be removed. Some tree trimmers used the muratic to remove sap from a driveway!

    Detroit Area P/W's

Count me in. Doug has my contact info. The early evening during a weekday will work fine for me if I have a couple of weeks' notice to not schedule a job for that evening. I would like to discuss insurances and marketing as well as tools of the trade and maybe vendors. Heck, we could...

    Blonde brick cleaning

Please take a look at the newer brick patches on these repair jobs (top of chimney and window cover-up). What chem(s) would you say would be the best to wash the older brick to get them CLOSER to a match. Notice the key word in CAPS, please. If you suggest a Prosoco product, please tell me which...

    Your Method of Sealing?

I'm currently using cardboard backer boards for the railings/spindles because they are FREE. 1/4" plywood seems like it would be expensive AND the wood does not absorb as much of the overspray as cardboard. Question...how many uses do you get out of the canvas tarps? Do you wash them after...

    Opinions on Bleach...

Mike, I know there are OTHER ways to clean decks without using bleach because I have been using these chemicals myself (I have yet to use bleach on a deck). However, bleach and/or chlorine is WAY less expensive than using Sodium Percarbonate or Sodium Hydroxide! If it works just as well and...

    Opinions on Bleach...

More importantly...if bleach/chlorine is so toxic, how come wecan swim in it???? The key ingredent was stated earlier in the post...copious amounts of water. Back to the ORIGINAL poll (this thread actually started as a poll on who uses bleach on wood, remember?). I am still on the fence when...

    Opinions on a Deck Job

Ditto to everything that Tony said for me. I left a 70k desk job (engineering recruitment) to do this full time. Only diffences are, Unlike Tony, I was laid off and had NEVER even pulled the trigger of a pressure washer before I signed a check for 15k for my rig. Talk about jumping in feet...

Has anyone used V Seal before?+

I would like to revive this thread. What is the current opinions of V Seal? It is amazing to read the VERY different opinions of this product. Is there a common denominator? Maybe the concrete wasn't prepped properly for those that didn't like it? I recently landed a commercial...

    Time To Winterize?

Hey Dan. S. and others that do NOT use antifreeze...I'm assuming you kave an enclosed trailer or box truck? I have a skid mount with a 275 gal. water tank in an enclosed trailer. I really don't want to use antifreeze for a couple of reasons. 1) I would like to be able to do some work during...
