Ok, this might be normal for you folks in warmer places, but it got up to 102 degrees this afternoon, and its currently 101, and humid. It has been over 90 degrees for days now......its driving me nuts!

Needless to say, I made it a short day today.

Mike,
You've got it hotter out east than we do in Texas right now, though the sun has come out for the first time in a week or so, I'm sure we'll catch up shortly.

Mike, we're getting the same weather here! Stopped wearing my rain jacket two weeks ago. Still in my rain coveralls. At end of day I would kill to be out of them!

Hey guys don't send your rain to Mike, send it to So. CA. we roast too!

Besides all that rain would do is make it even more humid for Mike.

Mike make sure you either take a salt tablet or increase your salt intake in that weather, in fact all of you. You sweat off salt and when you drink water only at some point in the hot day you will feel dizzy, if so you need more salt.

I love the hot weather,I wished for it all winter and in just a few short months I'll be wishing for it all over again,No complaining here.Don't care if it gets hot enough to turn burner off cuzz my ears can still feel the cold from last winter.

Some of our river bottom farm land is still to wet to plant from the flood we've had all spring, rain rain rain but its not snow snow or sleet sleet as my feet can stand the heat and my ears feel like lighted candles red from the heat, its just a matter of a few months before old man winter puts the flame out leaving the red for the bitter cold, love hot weather

Sorry, That is the norm for me, although admittedly we don't have the humidity. When it is 115 and washing trucks though it is HOT!!!
Todays fluid intake was 3 gallons of gatorade. That is about normal for me. I buy it in dry form from Grainger, and mix it in my 5 gallon cooler.

Scott
Well, I catch a plane in 5 hours to San Diego to join back up with my family. Then I will be really cool, 70° and a silicone covered sidewalk.

Scott,

Where do you get your gatoraid and how much do you spend? I found some at the SAMS Club for $8.50 and it make 9 gallons.

Seems like there should be a better deal out there.

Dan, I also get mine at Sam's. Best price I have found, including Grainger. A gas station chain (Dairy Mart, the old Convenient Stores) was selling the 1/2 gallon jobs for a buck two weeks ago. Every contractor in town was on those.

I get mine at Grainger, and it cost me about $7.00 for 5 gallons. I like Grainger because of the convenience for me, and that they have a huge variety of flavors.

We got it today in Texas! Humid and hot 7am to 7pm. Gatorade and purified water only way to survive. I may want to put a hat on with a towel, so I won't be a redneck![red]

Mike how in heck did you copy and post the Weatherbug?

I tried it last night before I left for work as it was still 101° where I was going, and it cooled down to 96° by 2 am.

Going back out there tonight, used up all my water and gator aid too. Problem with a job like I am doing is the concrete is so hot I cannot keep the chems damp on it to do their job.

WINTER hurry up and get here.

Jon,

That's called a "screen shot". You can do it with any good graphics program. I use Paint Shop Pro 7. You capture it from your screen, import it into the graphics program, then save it as a jpg file.

Hey Jon, I thought weather was supposed to be paradise in

Southern California! That is what justifies those home prices and

crowded freeways!:D

Ike, I don't think Redlands qualifies as Southern California its more like Eastern California!!

Sorry Jon, I couldn't resist;)
