We don't do alot of this type of work but since we had a request I thought I would get some info. The job consists of cleaning 500 ' of first story gutter (inside and out), facia, soffit, and decorative trim. All pieces are white in color and moderately dirty.
The remaining 320 ' are all second story and in the same condition. Once again the facia, soffit, and trim are to be included. The house exterior is brick and is contracted to be painted after we complete our end of the project (we are preping the brick also) so we don't have too many worries with the house and chemicals.
We will most likely be wiping down the soffit by hand since water spray tends to create a bigger mess and we will have to work from ladders due to surrounding landscaping. We bid $2150 on the project so I am now wondering where I fall in the gutter cleaning market.
The house is approx 9000 sq. ft... well upward of a million dollars (not that it matters of coarse!?)
Open to chemical suggestions as well (assuming they are cost effective). We currently use D'limonene for cleaning gutters and such.
Thanks in advance,
Greg Rentschler
