A good deal??

I was just wondering what everyones thoughts on this were. I can get a new 13hp honda electric start with a cat gear reduction unit and a CAT 5cp3120g1 pump whicht is rated at 5 gal. per. min. at 3000 psi ,, with no cart, hose or anything just that for 1400.00. Is this a decent deal??

That's an ok price. But the engine could be bigger!

If it's new it's an ok deal, not a great deal. The engine alone is about $700, so that makes the gear drive unit and pump about $700.

Based mainly on what I have read on the boards I am not a fan of gear reduced systems. However, I agree with Dan - for the price I would want to see a larger engine.

Check out Northern Tool. They have a 13 hp honda with a belt drive cat pump 4gpm@3500 psi. The unit is electric start with 50 ft. of hose and 8 gallon tank for $1699. Engine and pump both commercial grade.

Thanks Mark but I got the guy down to 1200$ and he threw in a new cart and 100ft of hose and a couple of tips so I went ahead and bought it. But next time I will give you a call!!
