A Message to Ron and the Future BOD's of the UAMCC

It would appear that the UAMCC is on the eve of some much needed support and direction. It is difficult to put in words all the "twists and turns" the UAMCC National Organization has experienced over the past. I wrestle, even in this post, with the right words to convey to Ron and the future BOD's as to what lays before you gentlemen in the upcoming weeks, months and years. It is painfully obvious to many in our industry that the past attempts to establish a viable organization has fallen short in so many ways and in some sense we have gone backwards instead of progressing. Today many have fixed suggestions or beliefs of why this is so and unfortunately use these beliefs as a forecast and prediction to where the UAMCC will be at tomorrow.

Some have questioned Ron's motive. That statement "his motives" seemed to have haunted this guy for many years both by his peers and subordinates. I am sure many today think that there is some surprise down the road with his involvement with the UAMCC today. When I first heard of his decision to run for the President position, I immediately questioned what was the motive also. But then I had to ask myself maybe his reason is to truly help an industry that he and so many others have grown to love and support. I did not have to rationalize and/or "think" too much into this as I have a good feeling that whatever he does along with the elected BOD will be the step in the right direction.

Their task of accomplishing even the simplest goals will be hampered at times by the sentiment of the industry and also by individuals that believe the pressure washing industry has no need for a national organization. Their job today will be as difficult as anything we in the industry has seen to date because of the recent past. Many friendships have been abandoned and scarred over the last several years and quite frankly people are not sure if the industry can take another set back on the scale of where we have been. I applaud those that have hung in there and kept the seats warm for the new board of directors to take over in 2012.

There are some very strict and definitive guidelines under the 501c classification that the UAMCC currently has. There is no latitude for any questionable policies and/or directives coming from the Executive Committee and the Board at large. Simply put, the board will be accountable for for all their actions and decisions.

Ron and the future board will continue to add to their "list of things" to do in the days ahead. What I see on the different BBS today is people already trying to show him and others the door. I know I have not been around the BBS's much but I do remain in contact with many contractors and supplier members across the U.S and I am simply asking those that are driving questions to the BOD's....keep it professional and give these men a chance to do something with the UAMCC. If they fail, well at least they tried. But we owe it to them to at least let them get in the batters box and see where they hit the ball.

Gentlemen....best of luck to you!

Carlos will start off by getting a man on base. Move him over to third playing some small ball in early innings like stealing or bunting. In early innings will try for base hits only, in later innings when ahead we might swing for the fence. Will maintain a strong defense and practice fundamental ball.

Thanks we expect you will be ready to DH from the bench if needed.

I 'll be in the batters circle....I never sit on the bench.
