An easy tool to check your website's indexing

Tip of the Week: Check Google to see if you've been indexed

Ever wonder exactly what Google has indexed on your website?
Google has a simple 'switch' that will show you exactly what they have been able to index on your site.
Here's the syntax for using the site switch:
site:datadoctors.com (click to see our results)
Monitoring this is especially helpful if you are paying someone for Search Engine Optimization services - how many pages have been indexed this month vs last month or how many pages has your competitor gotten indexed, etc.

Doug just go to google and type in the site you want to check

site:cleanandgreensolutions.com

This will not tell you where you are ranked but you can see when Google knows about you. When a page was last crawled etc. Basically, if your site is not there it is 1. A new site or 2. you did something wrong and google kicked you out. If a page is not there then google does not know it exists.

This is what is known as being indexed. It is kind of like being in the card file at the library, eventhough you are there, it does not mean that you get checked out. LOL
