Any quick fix ideas for broken telescopic?

I've got one of these yellow 24 foot telescopic wands that one of my guys broke a few days ago. He accidently wacked it off a brick and cleanly cracked the aluminum right at the point where it connects to the final nozzle holding assembly at the top. Now the inside hose just kind of hangs there and flips around when you fire it up. Not very useful.

Any quick fixes anybody has come up with that I can use to get this back in service again? We just got this one at the end of last season and I'd rather not toss it yet if I can help it. If I can get another few jobs out of it I'd like to before I retire it.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Thanks Ron, it didn't even occur to me to look at JB Weld and I've used that stuff before on other metal cracks. Never tried the Gorilla Glue, is it better than JB Weld? I'm going to pick some up and give it a try today.

telescopic wand fix

Hey guys, I was using my telescopic wand the other day and this happened to
me too. I ended up bending it about half way up the aluminum rod. So i put that thing
down and finished the job with another wand. I started to brainstorm so I went to the
orange store(Home Depot) and checked out some solutions. I was looking for aluminum
but couldn't find right diameter to fit in wand. I ended up finding Brass tubing which was perfect for the job to fit right into the wand. Get this it slides in and out like a glove. This was a great fix for under $5. It is stronger than the aluminum too so this, possibly won't
happened again. Just thought I'd throw in my two cents. Take care all and good washing to all of you. You just have to get broken pipe out then replace with new piece after cut to size or shorter it is up to you.

brass is a little heavier

The brass is a little heavier, but i suppose if a guy wanted to really check around
and find the right diameter you could do that. For the time being I was just trying to
find a piece of pipe that would be durable enough but not too expensive. Also I thought
I could put an aluminum piece back in there, but there is the chance of this happening
again. I am pleased with the results of the brass. The diffrence is something where I
would have to hold one then hold the other with the wand extended.

In a pinch...

I've used duct tape to hold mine together (tip and shaft). But I've since bent my third shaft, and the brass replacement sleeve sounds to be a great way to go. May even be stiffer than the aluminum.
