Everett I have the up most respect for you and several of the pwna memebers and have always stated I have nothing against any group trying to do their thing.

I think tho by him saying this and he saying that has helped the pwna in bettering their group.I can see a change in the pwna and some of its members in the past year and think alot of it would not have came about unless he said and him said stuff.

As for as they being better or them being better NO one can wash a truck bettering than me :).

Larry,

I think I'm understanding your post to say that the PWNA has benefitted or is on the road to benefitting from threads such as these since ideas and opinions are there for all to see? I thinkthat's what you said :)

With that in mind I do believe that I can take back my statement that the threads are non-productive. From that perspective, they are can be productive, and since people are beginning to notice the changes that are taking place, somewhere they must have been.

I still hold to the fact that it should never be viewed as an "us against them" scenario. Membership in this organization makes you no more licensed, no more insured, no more professional, legitimate, qualified or whatever other adjective one uses to promote themselves in business, than a non-member. Choosing to fall into those adjectives should be every INDUSTRY members goal!

Larry,

I got the best truck washer, who is the best fisherman? You or Dan S? You are still finding time at the fishing hole, aren't you?

I would agree that the PWNA has taken many strides in the past 12-24 months. It honestly comes from listening to members and non-members and new people with new ideas and a better way of doing things. If the PWNA is supposed to be the organization for the industry then it has to listen and take in thoughts and opinions of the entire industry and not just the membership. Members should recieve better benefits and discounted pricing for their dues over non-members. In other words, members recieve benefits over non-members and in representing the industry EVERY voice should be heard.

Scott,

Thank you for the e-mail!

Larry,

I will admit that I did let my standards slip a bit in the past couple of years and rededicated myself to better training and not accepting anything but the best I can give. I heard a good quote one day and it really struck a cord with me; "At the end of the day it is over, you can not give that day back. Live each day like it can not be given back."

Stripers are starting to roll in here on the Jersey coast. Will be heading out with a friend one day next week. Don't get out enough. Hunting season is more in line with my down time so I do more of that. I got my eyes on two different whitetails. Should be tying them to the tree soon! Two nice rack on my property, one on each side of the road.

Leave it to Grant!

Stripers, fish, hunting, no innuendo.

See how you guys in the concrete jungle think!
I know you hunt strippers there though.

Difference is when us hunters talk about a nice rack we are talk'in antlers and you guys are talking something else!

Everett I recken at one ponit or another every professional powerwasher will start to slip in their wash jobs.I know I did, knowing altime I could have done better when leaving the job site, but what the heck huh.I was still doing a better job then the locals but did notice wow a few clean trucks one day but don't know who did it,know what I mean.I didn't hear no qoute but a lightbulb did go off in my peabrain when I seen those clean trucks b/c nobody can clean trucks like that but me :) and I know I didn't do them .I'm back to my old self now  and feel a heck lot better in myself and the wash jobs that I'm putting out now.Had a 5 rig account go out of business last week and I have already replaced them,I feel like cat chit b/c I stay covered up.I'm 6 weeks behind in farm eqt. as of now next week it'll turn into 8 weeks or more, atleast I'm paying my bills huh.

I think this is where a group of people can help the professional when he starts gooffing in their wash jobs as to get them back on track in short order.

My fishing is on hold unless it gets to cold to wash, they say the fish are jumping in the boat as the bite is on.

True That!

However, some time ago a member was making a plea for new members.............Since then the questions was asked............ What can the pwna do for my business?
How can it make my business grow?
WHere is all the due money going?

and so on ..........................We get all kinds of answer's which seem to conflict the previous one's. So it has been dubbed as a conversation that will never end.
One things leads to another............................. he said she said.

Members drop out dont renew
New members arrive and are full of piss and vinegar..............They also become worn out and become unactive.

Other Non members hold back and see what kind of Org. this is and try to figure out for themselfs why there are only 500 (give or take ) members. They also plug and play at the idea of joining but are some what weiry. They are also carefull with how they spend their money and really wants to know if they decide to join what do they get?
Also, They wonder why all those 500 members there are only 5-6 that speak out and at least offer an attempt to explain their wonderfull Org.

If The pwna was really that helpfull why then cant they offer more for your business?
Lets say something goes wrong and you need help................ Okay 500 members and only 6 of them are really helpfull .................That to me does not sound like a group that is faithful in reaching out to really help your business grow. Just the select few!!

Celeste, you are a very professional lady. I admire your post , they are very informative. However I doubt that this will ever end unless there would be such an out pouring of membership. And a statement stating What /How can by joining this elite group can it effect my business....................... We are sick of the replys from some who state........................... It's what you take out of this Org. That makes you succeed. We grow tired of listeing to the same old statements of how by joining ...you then are on your own. B/C it's what you take out of the Org. Not What you get from it.

So as you and the whole WWW can see ........................ There is no end in sight!

To substantiate the portion in red.....we came, we joined, we tried to participate and encourage membership (see my multiple Pro-PWNA posts), we did Clean Across America projects, we got the Contractor Spotlight Award, then we were banned from their bbs and our company was not "invited" to renew our membership. Just some facts for folks looking to join.
