I just thought I would let you in on a product that I've ben using for over a year now. This is a Potassium Hydroxide based foaming jel that I apply with a pump up poly sprayer.I used to mix my own chemical for hoods, and one day I was looking for a cheaper bulk chem supplier when I got some samples of this product.The product was developed for a potato chip company to clean thier cooking vats. I admit that it is more expensive than mixing from bulk, but the time and bother it saves me is well worth the extra expence.I have had it shiped in 55gal drums,or 5gal pails there is a little price difference between the two packages. I pay $12.50 per galon + shipping. This may or may not be something you are intrested in, but if you think it might be shoot me a e-mail and I will give you contact information.The reason I woun't post it is that I have no control over who views this post,and this could be a big advantage to the rag and tag companies in my area that think they are worthy. I can honestly say with the time this product saves me on the job, and the results I get . The extra expence is justified.

Michael I'm not sure,but I will find out. I think the manufactureing process involves cooking of this product to get it to blend properly.

It sounds like that "Bonzi" chemical from Colorado. Same characteristics you described.

hello Bill, My name is carl I operate a fire suppression company in Fla. I am interested in a good cleaner for system components and am looking into hood cleaning also.Is this product safe on aluminum hoods, galvanized hoods or does it etch and stain?

It's for the final product, but hte reason I like it so much is that you can ues it 100% on a system that is really nasty and it will clean it great. After the system is cleaned properly you can cut this stuff by 50% with great results. It has cost me more money to buy and use this product than making my own, but with the results that I've gottin from it it has saved me money.
