What virus protection, computer protection do you use?

Norton?
Mcafee?
Kaspersky?
???????????

Freeware or payware?

We recently found that one of the best known
products we have been using is not so great.

I've used Norton, McAfee, AVG, all without any problems. The AV industry is probably like anything else... you get what you pay for.

Check with your internet provider, they might offer free AV software as a perk:

Great News!!! Cox has partnered with McAfee – the most respected name in PC protection software – to bring you one of the most complete security solutions available. The all-new Cox Security Suite powered by McAfee® provides AntiVirus, AntiSpyware, AntiPhishing, Firewall, Parental Controls, Identity Protection and more. It's proactive PC Protection for You & Your Family that's included FREE (a $69.99 value!) with your Cox High Speed Internet Service.

We have used Norton, and the Mcafee offered through our
Internet Providor, just recently we were introduced to Kaspersky
and I think it is the best of those three!

Purchased a 3 user version at Kaspersky.com this morning
looks like I could have saved $35 through the Buy.com link at left
side of page! :smad:

I'm using Avast! freeware on my home system. I like it because it doesn't slow my system down at all and it sends up a big warning flag if it detects any inbound nastys and terminates their connection. That has saved my butt a couple dozen times already! They sell a business version too.

Been using AVG Anti-Virus Free for a couple years now. Never had a problem (KNOCK ON WOOD) and paid anything.

Norton is a good, complete program. Ran 360 for almost 2 years, but it is very taxing on your RAM (random access memory). Kaspersky is good software, but I (we) made the switch to Trend Micro Titanium. Working flawlessly, and memory drain is almost non existent.

If you need to upgrade or renew your anti virus / internet security
here is a Great Deal!

Available for $19.99 at Costco.com between November 26 and
December 12, 20103 computer version. I highly recommend.
