Blue wand picture #1

Tony,(Picture #1, Picture #2 in new thread after this one)
I can't find the belt for this Wand. I have it somewhere just can't seem to figure out where it is. I never used any belt for these wands and to be honest with you the belt that came with this wand was a piece of garbage.

If you or anybody else is interested I will unload this wand as is for $90. Its only been use about 2 times since I got it late last year. It shows a little wear to it because it was kept in the back of my truck. This wand is in excellent condition.

If I don't sell it its no big deal because I will just keep it as a back up to my Extenda Wand.

John,
Is it a two or three section wand?

How would you ship it to me? I have a UPS account # if it can be shipped that way.

Let me know.

Tony,
I saved the box that the Extenda Wand came in so I can put this wand in it if I ship it out. This wand is 3 sections. Same as the other 24'wands that I have. The Blue wand has two sections that are fiberglass and the last section is Aluminum(I think thats what it is on that section). The difference between the blue wand and the yellow is that the blue wand has that second section which is fiberglass making it more durable then the yellow wand that is why it cost an extra $40 or so more.

If you are interested in purchasing it I could call UPS and see what it cost to ship it to you. Once I find this out I will let you know how much it cost to do so. I need to know where this wand would be shipped to so I can get a price.

Let me know what you want me to do. You can also e-mail me with any other info you might think I'll need. My e-mail address is in my profile.

The wand looks rock solid. I'm real impress by the way this wand is put together. I won't use it for a few weeks from now but I can't wait to see how it performs. I have High expectations for this piece of equipment.;)

John,
I can't in in to your profile to get your email address. It's disabled. I'll give you my address, it's: topcatt@comcast.com

At least that's what it is supposed to be, I was just switched over to comcast from athome, and the system and email have been shakey at best.

You could use my UPS account number to ship to me. The zip code where it is being shipped to is 48138.

I already have a yellow 24 & 16 footer, but I'm adding a second trailer, and I'd like to have a wand in it as well.

Talk to ya later.

John,
Sounds like Tony wants the Wand pretty bad.
It would probably be a few weeks before I could get it anyway so you might as well sell it to Tony.
For now, Rick from ProWash loaned me his, so I don't have to have it right this minute.
I will try and pick up one later.
I really appreciate you going to all the trouble with the picture and all.

Take Care

Richard,
No problem. IF Tony changes his mind I will just keep it. Its still like new and a great back up. My mind is set on the Extenda Wand. If its as good as I expect it to be I will purchase one more so we can do a house with two in operation.

If you weren't so far I would give it to you and you could pay me back before the year was up. (Both of us being in law enforcement we know how to track each other down.:)

If Tony changes his mind, I'll just keep it and if in the future your still interested just let me know.

Thanks John,
If Tony was to change his mind let me know. I still would like to have it, but I think it would benefit you better to let Tony have it since he wants it now.
I have to save for it, he doesn't.
I'm glad to hear that you were law enforcement too. At least I know you understand the money situation. I never made hardly enough before I retired to save anything. I feel like I'm starting all over again. At least there is money to be made in this career.
You wouldn't believe how low my retirement check is, based on the 22 years that I was in. It would make you puke.
Oh Well....Life goes on and I enjoy PowerWashing almost if not more than I did my last years at the PD.

Have a good one.

Excuse my igornace here but just what is this type of wand used for and how do you hold it with the trigger so far from the wand?

Never seen something like this before.

Hey Jon,
From my perspective, this wand has it's pros and cons. With my small amount of experience, it seems a little heavy, so therefore it's hard to be as acurate as I would like. At least it beats doing a balancer act on a ladder or crawling around on a slippery roof.
On some jobs, I would imagine it's the best thing since sliced bread.
If you have a small job that doesn't justify a sky lift or bucket, it makes for a quick and easier way to compensate.
I think Mark and Glenn have been selling these for quite some time.
I don't know if they sell the blue one or not, but I hear it's a much better wand than the yellow one.

I'm kind of curious whether or not the wand tries to lift up with the Pitch Witch on the other end or does the Pitch Witch keep it stable.

I have the 24ft yellow I bought it right after I first started out. I dont know that it would be long enough for use with the pitch witch as to not reaching the tops of the roof it might would on a one story house but not a two story. If you are buying one to use with the pitch witch I think I would go with a longer one just my two cents worth. I use mine on house washes and such. :)

Jon,
The wand pictured is actually almost 3 times longer, when extended. And is used for house washes and high work.It is actually not as hard to hold as it looks to hold, the end is bent and off sets, the pressure from whipping it away from the siding.
I just hated mine because of the hose being under your feet all the time. I bought the yellow one and the aluminum bent the first time I tried to lay it down.I still use it occasionally as an overweight 9 foot wand for tall decks.

Jon, to answer your question, extension wands are used primarily for building cleaning, and you hold them like you would carry a ladder upright...........one hand down low, and one up high.

when the wand is laying down try to put it in a spot where you van pull the trigger and use the spray to help lift it, it will make any wand last longer, or walk it up. Never try to just lift the wand from the end without the trigger pulled and your unit on.

John,

I'll wait to hear from you later today. As Mike pointed out, my new email address is supposed to be: topcatt@comcast.net

My email and internet access has been sketchy at best, since it was converted from @home, and I don't have alot of confidence in it yet.

If you have trouble sending to it, I'll email you later tonight. Now I don't want to weasle in on this if Richard had his heart set on it. I just spoke up because it seemed maybe he wasn't sure what he wanted to do.

I too would like an extenda wand, but I don't have that extra cash because I just ordered a new trailer, am getting ready to order a hot water rig and surface cleaner, in addition to all the other stuff needed to set up a second rig. So this is the perfect opportunity for a decent wand at a fair price.

Thanks guys for explaining it to me as a tool for house washing.

I am sure it has other uses but flat work would not be one of them.

Tony,
I called UPS today and told them that I would like to ship a 9'x6"x3" box(Extenda wand box) that will have a wand in it and weigh aprox 14lbs. I told them that you have an account with them and the Zip code to where it is going.

They said it would cost about $25.

If your still interested I'll send it to you WED. or Thursday morning.

I'll pay it up front and I'll let you know the total that you owe me which you can send check for that amount soon after. The total should be around $90+$25(aprox)=$115. This way you can get the wand in a couple of days and get yourself set up.

Generally I wouldn't pay it up front but I know your in somewhat the same boat I am where I am also setting up a second rig and the need to get it done is now because the busy season is about to begin. Plus Reading your posts over the years on different bb's I can tell I can trust you and I don't just trust everybody.(Plus I can track you down if need be.:)

Let me know what you want to do via my other e-mail address which is powerwsh@optonline.net I will need your address and I think your UPS # or whatever else you think I might need.

If your e-mail is not working then let me know here what you want to do and also how I can get hold of you.
