Hey guys! I've been sittin round searching and reading for a couple of weeks now and I need a few recomendations that haven't been covered. Not sure why but noone says product names? Anyway I'm a firefighter with alot of off time looking to make some extra $. I used to work with a friend doing this stuff years ago but we mainly did fleet washing. Paid well but they took there time paying. Anyway I'm looking at a 3000psi/4gpm cold mach. until I can afford a hot. Mainly wanna do houses, decks driveways little chixchit stuff. some stuff has changed like surface scrubbers are popular(do you swear by them) or are they so so. Any recomendations on ins. co's. Chemicals?(name brands) There aren't very many dealers round here so home de-pot stuff would be easier. Is anyone doin vinyl siding restoration?
Any tip would be great! jknight122@hotmail.com for anything that can't be posted.

Go for the professional grade chems and avoid HD and Lowes. A surface cleaner is a great tool for concrete, saves time and gives good results when used properly.

why do you guys say avoid home-depot and lowes?

They work well.

It's like anything else ..................read the instructions on the label.

You can also buy in bulk from Lowes and get a contractors price........Cant beat it or the results.

If I have to explain it, then I guess it would be a waste of my time. No offence.

Cant explain HUH?

that's okay!

There is nothing wrong with buying @ Lowe's or the famous Home-Depot
If you are unsure about it only buy a gal and follow the directions.."tweak" it if you have 2 .

The Purple degreaser from Lowe's is powerful stuff , It will take the paint off it you let it sit too long. Make sure you wear rubber gloves.

Besides why would it be a "waste of time" if you are trying to convince folks to stay away from there. I guess take somebody's word that it doest work is good enough!

The powerbrite you buy from MARK, If you never tried it how do you know it is good or bad? It works great on many applications. Even concrete cleaning.

Sounds like you already have your mind made up, that's why it's a waste of time.

I have been using the Clorox outdoor bleach for all my house washing needs. It works great, but at almost $7 a jug.... I'm up for any advice. I have no ideal what Chems to buy or where to buy them without having to pay for the expensive shipping rates.Thats why I shop at Lowes. Why is everyone so secretive about their mixtures? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

My local (40 miles away) supplier has recently gotten in a chemical...soap...that is in two parts. One pound of powder and one quart of liquid. It is a small box (can't use names). You mix it in a five gallon bucket with warm water and makes...5 gallons. here's the skinny; it is 19 bucks instead of 39 bucks because of shipping and labor.

It is a house wash, driveways etc..typical hot degreaser kinda thing. on the hot side but not real good for cold water serious degreasing...perfect for hot water and, in situations like houses and drivewasys, you can sool it down some by adding more water.

since it is lighter, it wont cost as much to ship.

If anyone is interested, post your email and I'll drop you a note.
