Composite Decking Problem

We just stained a wood screen porch using Penofin and some of the stain got on the composite decking. We then used hot water power washer with a turbo tip to remove some of the stain that had dripped on the decking. The composite deck wash made some circles and lines on the decking. The homeowners are saying the surface is basically gone. Is there a fix to the composite decking or is the only way is to replace the decking?

You might be able to use a surface cleaner and clean the deck surface evenly, basically etching the surface.

The turbo nozzle etched the surface now you need to blend it evenly another option is sanding the deck.

Turbo nozzles should not be used on decks, wood or composite.

I'd replace the boards before you get yourself into more trouble. They are ruined.

I am pretty sure they are ruined too. I called the homeowner today who had previously called Trex - which also said the same thing. Today I told her we'd replace the boards. But she is talking to the original builder to get his thoughts. When I get back to the job, I will take pictures.
