On ..... website they said to charge .50-$1.00 running ft.depending on the difficulty. My folks live in a big condo complex all 1 story. The buildings are all the same,so just got to messure 1 x number of buildings.
Should I give them some kind of discount if it's over a certain number of feet?If so how much?

Discount it for sure, or you will never get the job. Use your best judgement. Try to determine how long each building will take you and price it out by time.

I'm not suggesting you give an hourly rate. Use the amount of time you think it will take to determine your price per building. Good luck.

Dan,

Good to see you too. Glad to see you went to V3 as well. I've been messing with V3 since winter time for my new bbs............but we just recently upgraded PWI since V3 went gold. The other board is still on Release Candidate 3.

Yes, as a matter of fact, our second son was born almost 8 weeks ago. His name is Kyle William. Both mom and baby are doing well, except Kyle has recently developed some trouble breathing. Our doctors felt he needed to see a specialist today, and recommended we take him to the emergency room at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia (about 30 miles away, and one of the best). We spent all day there today, and I just got home. Kyle was admitted to the hospital and is now in Intensive Care because his oxygen levels drop periodically without explanation. He needs to be watched very closely till they figure out exactly whats wrong.

They are doing test after test to eliminate possibilities and play it safe. I'm very happy with the care he is getting but it sure sucks to see your little baby in a hospital bed. It's very likely that the problem he has is something that will go away on its own, and not really be a big deal.....but they are not done testing yet. Hopefully he can go home tomorrow.

It could be so much worse though........and you don't have to look far to find someone in a worse situation. There were two trauma victims (kids) brought in tonight to the ER........one by helicopter. I overheard someone say he had a broken femur, ankle, has head injuries and is in critical conditon......and that's someones little kid. Depressing. Someone swung the door open to the truma room as I walked by, and there was more doctors and nurses in there then I can count on two hands. Amazing. Point is, it can always be worse.

On a happier note, Brian (my four year old) ..........is a terrific big brother. He is much better at it then we ever expected him to be. He never acts jealous at all.............and is even helpful at times. It's cute.

Hopefully Kyle can come home tomorrow........then maybe my wife can get some sleep. I came home to be with Brian.........and tomorrow morning I'm taking him to my sister in laws so we dont have to worry about watching him.

Anyway, I need to go to bed........its 2am. I just needed something chill out on before I went to sleep. Last night was the first time I logged on this site since Feb 19th !! I couldnt believe it had been that long. I've been so busy with so many things I don't get to all of the boards anymore.

How many kids and dogs are you up to now, Dan? And how is your new business? What areas of work are you focusing on?

"Talk" to you soon,

Sorry to hear about your son. We will pray for him to get better. Sounds like your handling it very well. We have Delanie 2yrs 7 months and Makenzie 1 yr and 3 months.

Both are doing very well, and of course Abbey and Sidney our Springer and Cocker, that drive ya up the wall worse than any 1 year old :)

I'm still in sales and slowly getting back into the pressure washing and window cleaning. Mostly residential.

I'll post a picture later today.

Talk to you soon [hello]

Thanks, Dan. I'm heading to the hospital now that I got my other son taken care of. My wife got little sleep, but Kyle is doing better. They are doing more testing today, and he should be home sometime tomorrow.

Catch you later.

P.s 2 years and a 7 months already? Hard to believe......even harder for you I'm sure. Brian is going to be 5 on October 1st.

Superlate, I agree with Mike. Price it out by the hour not by the foot. A good rule of thumb is to add two hours per building if it is a retirement condo complex, since retirees have a tendancy to nit-pick you to death. I would get at least $40.00 per hour per man for a condo complex.

I hope he did, but most likely he didn't. They're hard jobs to get because almost anyone can do them. The tricky ones, such as townhouses that are 3 stories high on one side, are easier to sell.
