Cool Deck

I have a customer that has a product called Cool Deck around her pool. It appears to be a concrete-type material, but it stays cool in the sun. Regarding both cleaning and avoiding potential damage, can anyone with experience with this product tell what I need to look out for here? Also, she has what appears to be a mildew stain that the last pressure cleaner couldn't remove. Any suggestions?

Kool Deck is really common around here. It is a coating over the concrete that is usually not much more than 1/8" thick. It can be done at about 2000 PSI without much fear of damage. If the mildew stains are black and actually look like it could be a part of the Kool Deck, it might be hard water stains. So you can probably get them off with a little bit of acid, but, I would do a test spot first.

Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

Just a guy driving around trying to make a living washing trucks, Wouldn't know a deck if it bit me in the hind quarters,

Brian, check out www.cooldeck.com

This product is manufactured by Mortex Manufacturing Company Inc.

I'm not a contract cleaner so I can't offer any cleaning advise on this topic but they do offer some specialized cleaning chemicals for this coating. You may want to call them direct for advise?? Looks like a pretty expensive topcoat.

Hope this helps...

I use my adjustable wand on low pressure high flow and these cool decks clean up really well.
