I was at The Dixie Deer Clasic at the fair grounds and they have a flea market there on the weekends. I went just to look around and came across a lady with one of the best looking dobe i ever saw so I stopped to pet him and seen she had one pup. I had never seen one other then red and rust or black and rust so I thought is was half breed. She said she wanted 300 I offered 150. It was real copld out and she was ready to go so she took it. Turns out from the papers on him he is full bredfrom AKC registered dogs. Man I got a deal. Don't know if I can get a blue one but i could get tou a red or black one.

as a matter of fact I probably have a # where you can sell it for that much tomorrow ..

I have 600.00 in mine thats with the ears cropped.

Are you kidding me? Ithought I saved a few bucks on the deal, but i freakin stole it. I'm glad it was the last one and she was in a hurry to go home.

Whats it cost to crop the ears? He already had his tail done and his dew claws removed but I still need to crop the ears. I just got him yesterday.

oh I thought they were cropped . it cost me 250.00 .

and no Im not kidding about 1500.00 IF I had that extra $$ I would offer ya @ least 1000.00 .

If you are going to get the ears done do it A.S.A.P
you dont wanna wait toop long or they will lokk like poop.!!

make sure you do your home work on your vets .... they must know what they are doing or they will mess it up. If it cost you more then 250.00 it will be worth it .. you could still get your money back and then some ...

If I had it to do over, I wouldn't crop the ears on mine. It is painful for the dog, doesn't do anything for him, and leads to potential ear problems later down the road since he doesn't have the natural ear protection he was intended to have. I think they look great with floppy ears! Anyway, here's a pic of mine...7 years old now.

A dobe dontlook like a dobe with the "flop"

and when the ears are done right and young enough it dont hurt them at all ...... heck my dog never said a word when we had it done ......LOL

I have had dobe's since I was 10 we had @ one time 4 in the house < not my choice> ..

hey Chuck I'll chop his ears off for 200 and sale you another blue one for 150 with the understanding you never wash him.

Are you talking about getting the ear to stand-up or amputation of part of the ear?
I have seen both. Amputation should be done ASAP.
So they dont remember.
Clip also.
I have see 5 diffrent ways to get them to stand up after the clip.
Ecerything from a plastic cup,straw and tape to just crazy glueing them together.
The amputation at this point might need to anistise the pup. There allways risks with anistisiasing[you'll need to sign off on that]
Amputation might be just to dope her up and then they use a bannana clip and an scapel to cut it off.
The same chem they dope up the dog with is the same drug the kids snort. [club drug called exstacy]
You will need to clean her ears once every 2 weeks when you do either TYPE.[p.s. dont let her shake her head while the solution is in their YUCK!]
