you had better stop banning me *LOL*

The vette is painted,I'll take a pic in a few weeks and let you laugh your b8lls off too like some of my so called friends :).

When I first seen it I sorta got sick to my belly,it looked "GOLD" and god forbid I do not want a gold car.I took another look at it and even got sicker to my pour little belly,it looked like a bright shiney"COPPER" penny and surely the devil wouldn't make me drive something like dat.

They been teasing me I'll stand out in the crowd and I'll want lose it in the parking lot.Its different man its going to take a little getting used to the color but think in time i'll fall in love with it,I've already got big crush on it anyway.

How for alone are you on the stupidbaker?

I think it has 6months of ...........>> DONT PUT ANYTHING BACK WHERE IT BELONGS STUFF in and around it...............................LOL

hopefully this week i plan on putting tires back on and driving it out side then cleaning the garage and getting back to work on it.............. I predict a late summers drive..

DONT PUT ANYTHING BACK WHERE IT BELONGS STUFF

I see I'm not the only one that hides stuff and cann't find it,I took the carb off the 49 ford.I even bought a rebuild kit for it but Haven't found what I did with it,look look look and look but still no carb to be found.
Either this week or the next school will out and the grandkids will be here for 2 or 3 months. Its fishing time, those 3 months is my slowest months and will have alot of time to fish.I feel lucky to spend that kind of time with the grandkids, they learn alot while around me and I also learn from them. They go with me if I have to wash something, they usually do pretty good but last year I fired them 3 times on the same job.

Anyway I had planned just spending so much on the vette before the fouth of july and sorta finish it around the last of this year. Will done went over a few 1000 as to what was planned before the fouth.I may haveta start picking up tin cans to finish it unless you have extra cash laying around you would give away....C-ya

I may have second thoughts on the next restore,it makes it more personal when doing your own restore. But man counting the man hours spent looking, doing and fixing a restore is mind blowing, think it would be cheaper just to buy one already restored.Ready I think a guy could live longer not dealing in "all" the things you do when restoreing. The old 49 ford 1 ton is going to haveta wait a few years before I even think about doing it.The vette has taking alot out of me and it still likes alot being done.Altho it may be worth it b/c one of these days I'll take the T-tops off and let my ponytail blow in the wind.

worked a few hours in the ole studie..........and i really wish i would of just left it together and slapped a 500.00 job on it.... so far i have 10times that amount in it..... and it's not even primered :(

now 2 make matters worse im cutting a hole in the roof for a sunroof ......... wife said that im making too much work 4 myself........ I told her to get back in the house and srcub the floor......haha!!

get back in the house and srcub the floor

I've been in that type of mood for 3 days now and just as soon to piss on the carpet as to deal with shops around here.Had new tires put on and they tighten the lugnuts so tight it looks as tho the nuts are welded to the rim.Was going to bleed the brakes and you haveta take the tires off to do so on a vette,I broke one stud bolt on the first plus one of the nuts had the threads pulled out of it b/c of over tighten.Took it to another shop and they took off the other lugnuts for me but have 6 lugnuts to be replaced b/c off over tighten. Not only that but the paint job has several spots were thet buffed thought the paint.Looks as tho we have alot of bubba's around here working in the shops, either weld it,throw it away or cover it up.
Thats the reason I down sized a few years back, employees are a plain in the hole when it comes to a job will done. Its the reason I do the washing myseft b/c I know that a professional is better than someone just there for the paycheck.

anynow with the temp in the 100's around here glad mind as T-tops and not a sunroof lol, going to put a raincoat on where the T-tops fit....Did she srcud the floor or give you dat burn the dinner look haha.

lol..she gave me dat ......look... u know the one im talking about ........

the look of your gonna be on the couch :( ....lol

I fill your pain when it comes to paying sum-one for a service.... I stopped taking my rides to shops years ago........... anytime i have a prob. if i dont have the tool to fix it i buy it. and do it myself. most of those garages suc- ....... bout 10 years ago i took my wifes pathfinder to a garage to get re-painted. holy chit i could of done a better job with a brush........ not too mention after bout a year er so ..... the rust holes was filled with rags.pop-cans .and newspaper....... so i do all my painting now. ! and after several paint jobs myself I can now put the brush away and use a LVLP sprayer..LOL

and I agree withcha about working by your-self.... everybody wants the green-backs but dont want to work for it.....and cut corners......... I am about 5days away from selling all contracts and equipment.already sold over half in the last 2 years.
just gonna do maintenance work ..... kinda like that better anyways and dont have to worry bout chems. or getting wet. unless of -course it rains on me . !!

soon very very soon the ole studie will be in primer.................

I've decided to do the seats, panels and all the stuff for the inside myself, just hope bubba hasn't been under the dash. All the numbers match on this car and I'm trying to put everything back like it came from the factory. This thing has more vac hoses on it than carter got liver pills, everything is controled with vac in some way or another.Getting to some of the things as to fix or replace is is is is isn't easy,I need to be about 3 feet tall with arms as long as powerwash hoses.
Took it for a ride monday and cann't hardly wait until I get it done, man the sucker will get on down the road in a matter of seconds.
