Anyone have a suggestion on what kind of cleaner to use on a deck a customer wants pw'ed and sealed not stanied. I read on other post to use a little bleach and a scub brush and a little dwell time and less than 1500 psi. I saw some deck cleaner at home depot. Is this ok or weak in solution. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

DeGraff,

Use the search function and load in "deck cleaner" you will find numerous threads on Deck Cleaner. This is a good place to start.

Tim, What exactly wood you reccomend as the Chemicals to use. The deck I have been looking at are pine treated and have grayed due to not being sealed and the suns uv rays. Any Specific you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Degraff,

I'll post first and I know Tim will chime in.

For a good cleaner get something that is sodium percabonate based. Sometime referred to as oxygen based cleaners. I always follow up cleaners (and strippers) with oxallic acid to neutralize and brighten.

There are several sources available to you through the internet to obtain any and all of the chems you need to name a few, but not singling out any in particular, SunBrite Decks, The Grime Scene, DeckGuide, Rowlette Pressure Cleaning.

Others will post more names for you that I have forgotten or did not know off.
