Hello everyone,

Just wondering what degreasers everyone uses for hood cleaning. I only service two restaurants so I havent had much chance to experiment. I tried ***** 's V-500 but wasn't impressd. Usually use zeps purple idustrial strength degreaser seems to work pretty good.

What do you use?
Do you use a different chemical for carbon deposits?

Thanks
Adrian

I buy sodium hydroxide by the pallet-2600 lbs, plus another item that is a liquid soap agent. With just two units to service I would contact your PW service company like Landa or whoever and pick up what they have to sell. They have products that are pre-mixed and work ok. With two service units price is not a real issue.

Hello Adrian,

We use a potassium Hydroxide based product. Best that we have tried. Been using it for over 10 years. If you would like more info email me.

Alot of the guys I deal with use Industrial Extra Heavy Duty Powder. It contains caustic soda and works great because you can make the liquid yourself at any strength you need.
