Does anyone do any Deicing??

I read somewhere that some pressure washers were deicing power/phone/cable lines?? Roof areas etc... Basically anything except airplanes.
I am certainly not set up for it but would like to find more information on it.
I can see it being a good add-on for the middle of the winter????

Thanks Blake

Hmmmm! That is a good idea!
(pump a salt water through a hot water fed injector)
Probably work good for store fronts & sidewalks!

Looks like it could be a marketable idea!

Hey Washaroo, Washman here.
Up here in the north woods we are called upon to remove a bit of ice now and then. Here's what we do - turn your unloader way down, turn your heat all the way up. Use a broom to sweep the melted ice away off the driveways, sidewalks, etc. Throw down ice melt when you are done. We get over $100.00/hr to perform this particular service. Reason being it is very cold and you run a good chance of burning your pw hose. Keep in mind when doing over your head work chances are you are going to be using a ladder - ice, height - not a real good combination. This is how we handle this, we probably only do this 20 - 25 times a winter, we'd like to do more but exhaust hoods need to be taken care of. Hope this helps.

Rock on
