Dirty Dump Trucks

I wash a lot of dump trucks. It pays pretty good but I have to admitt somedays are pretty tuff. Some of these trucks are so mud caked up you can spray forever and still have a slight dirt film on them when they dry. Has anyone else every had to deal with something like this? I use cold maybe I should try hot?

The only way to rid of the film is to brush. If you are brushing already and still have the film you may want to change to a different soap. Cold water washing will be fine just dont forget the elbow grease.

I have the same problem. I just picked up my first heavy equip job. The equip had not been washed since march. It took me 3 times to brush with hot water.
used 2 different soaps. Next wash we are going to try to start from scratch and hand wash it with a wash mitten. Hopefully then when we clean once a month after that it will be much easier.
What do you guys charge for a .
10yd dump truck/dozer and trailer/ extend a hoe/ and a skid steer. Looking at cleaning 1 a month.
Told them $200 am I high or low? Thanks Tim

Hey Tim I dont think that is to high at all. It is really nice that you get to wash them once a month. That is in your favor cause it will get easier at first it maybe harder but once you get them good and clean it may get were it takes not as much time thats good for you cause time is money. Will you have to clean them on the job site and bring your own water?

Hey Tim, I think your price may be a little low for the first time cleaning. I just did a trac-hoe about 3 weeks ago. It took me about 3 1/2 hours. Probably could have spent another hour on it, but the guy told me that was clean enough. Charged him $130 and he didn't blink an eye. Might could have charged more for the 1st time but hey it's repeat work.
