Ok I have 5gpm 3500psi unit I use a alison type down stream injector 16% to 20% draw the best I can figure when I put in my soaker tip and drop my line in my chemical I get somewhere between 15:1 or 20:1 ....

is there anyway to get a richer mixture with this method or would I just use my surflo or buy an X_- jet

MY REAL QUESTION MY MIND CAN'T GET IS IN THE CATALOGS THESE INJECTORS SAY 16 OR 20 % DRAW ....16% OF WHAT IS MY QUESTION ???IS IT WHEN 1 GALLON OF WATER GOES THROUGH THE INJECTOR IT DRAW 16% OF CHEMICAL ???

Shane,
A 20% draw will give you a 4 to 1 ratio, 4 parts water and 1 part chem. 5 parts total with the 1 part chem being 20% of the total. I have found this to be too rich for some of my chems, so I use a metering valve to decrease the draw. Some injectors have this feature built in.

Shane, another way to increase your percent application is to use a stronger concentration of your chemical. If you are using chlorine, switch fron 5.25 % to 12 % to 15% concentration. It works faster but doesn't harm the flowers.

Glen I still believe the ratio has to be around 15:1

because my machine runs 5 gallons a min .if the ratio is 4 parts water to 1 part chemical that would mean when I put my soaker tip in it would unload 1 gallon of chemical in 1 min a 5 gallon pail in 5 min .

So I still don't know the exact explaination ??
