Hi Bill,
That 24 hour restaurant still bugging you ?

The way filter exchange works is like a uniform exchange service. Your company owns the filters and sets up a service to go and exchange them monthly, quarterly, etc. You then take their dirty filters back to your place and clean them for the next place.

Filters come in all sizes 16X20X2/ 20X16X1/ 25X16X2 you get the picture. By the way, the first number is the vertical measurement, the last # is the thickness.
They are made from stainless steel, galvanized metal and aluminum - stainless filters in your size will probably run you wholesale @ $20.00 each plus freight. Galvanized is cheapest @ $6.00 ea. You charge each customer a rental fee, ie. a % of the cost till you recoup your investment. Then you buy more filters.

You also need to have a place to soak them clean. So you can see there is more to an exchange service than exchange.

If you are concerned about your 16 stainless filters, take them to do it yourself carwash late at night and wash them or tell the customer you charge extra to clean the filters and see how quickly he finds a way to clean them.

By the way, if you are considering hood cleaning as a business, it would be a good idea to get some sort of training ! Hood cleaning is more than just cosmetic it's fire prevention.
